SAN PATRICK´S DAY
Este curso dentro de las actividades desarrolladas en las áreas bilingües hemos trabajado la festividad de San Patrick. De este modo nuestro alumnado puede conocer la cultura de otros países de lengua inglesa.
Han sido muchas y variadas las actividades que hemos desarrollado. Nuestra auxiliar Lara ha realizado una presentación, sobre la festividad y como se celebra en Irlanda y en su país Estados Unidos, haciendo especial énfasis en la multitud de celebraciones que han adquirido debido a la multiculturalidad que caracteriza a su país.
Se han trabajado historias, canciones y hemos decorado los pasillos, con símbolos de San Patrcik´s Day. También hemos realizado un gran mural con el caldero mágico lleno de monedas de oro donde hemos escrito deseos para primavera.

This past week in the bilingual departments we worked on activities related to Saint Patrick´s Day, with these activities we were able to introduce the students to the cultures of other English speaking countries and buildon concepts related to culture in English Speaking countries.
They worked on a variety of activities to better their understanding of the culture. Our auxiliar Lara made a presentation for the students about the holiday and how it is celebrated in both Ireland and the United States. We put a special emphasis on the many ways St Patrick´s Day is celebrate and now it is multicultural.
They read stories, sang songs, and decorated the hallways with symbols of San Patrick´s Day. In addition, we made a large mural with a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The pot of gold was filled with the students´ wishes for the spring.
We would like to thank everyone for their help celebrating Saint Patrick´s Day. Thank you to all the teachers and our fantastic auxiliar.
